Hatesphere: Bloodred hatred

10/05/03  ||  Lord K Philipson

Nice fucker/vocalist Jacob has provided me with a bunch of records from DieHard as of late, as well as his own bands’ newest fucker, yes, the very one you are reading about. To make it easy on myself, I could have pasted the previous review I did on this band for their self-titled debut, but I won´t. It went something like this for starters though:

Track 1: Thrash. Track 2: Thrash. Track 3: Thrash. Thrash 4: Track. I meant it the other way around idiot. Track 5: Thrash. Track 6: Thrash. Track 7: Thrash. Track 1: Thrash. Track 9: Thrash. Should I end here? Fuck no and fuck you, I´ll write some more.

Hatesphere (why is it that every time I´m about to write their name I end up typing “Hatebreed” before I realize my mistake? Answer that and you´ll win a one way ticket to the local whore-house) plays, yes, thrashmetal. And they do it better than most out there.

I liked their debut alot as you can see in the review of it. Sure, I bashed a few things, I always do, it´s called constructive criticism (or bullshit, take your pick and fuck you) people. They haven´t changed their style and why would they? They know they can pull off this shit better than thousands of bands out there, fucken just stick with it guys, you are doing a great job at it.

In-your-face thrashmetal, people, is what these Danes deliver . I´m not talking Testament or Forbidden thrashmetal, but thrashmetal for this century. You know the drill, The kind of thrash/pop that Soilwork, Darkane and… yawn…. all those… yawn…. bands do. But! Hatesphere is harder, Hatesphere is better, Hatesphere gets laid more often coz they don´t wear white clothes on stage.

I might be in a very suitable mood for this band right now, or else it´s just me getting bored by all the Tatu I played at my place the past weeks and this heaviness kinda puts me on my ass. Anytoupsiepoo, I shake hands with the fuckers and say ”- Congrats piss-ants, you just made my day with this fucken album, thank you very much.” It looks like Hatesphere is the leading band in Denmark as for now, I don´t think that any resurrected Invocator can change that. Or it can be becoz I have only heard hatesphere out of Denmark, but that´s not entirely true coz I have heard loads of Danish bands, but I need to say something to make this review longer.

I could go out of my way and start to use some real flashy words to describe these mullets (I don´t even know what the means but it´s a cool word and I´m sure it fits here) but the thing is… alot of the other writers here do that. It´s not my style, I tell it like it is, I explain my shit as if you all were 3-year old´s, so this you can´t possibly miss out on:

This is pure muthafucken piss-good thrashmetal.

I could say ‘So, an dieser Stelle ist das Review mal zu Ende, weil zuviel Lobeshymnen verderben bekanntlich den Charakter…’ but that doesn´t tell me shit really, so I go with “THIS IS PURE MUTHAFUCKEN PISS-GOOD THRASHMETAL”.

For the love of Satan, check it out if you think you have at least one metal-bone in your pathetic, fat, body.

And yes, I wrote all the “thrash metal”´s together on purpose, just becoz I can and it´s irritating as fuck. Great work guys, 31:03 (no, I didn´t include the intro in the calculation) minutes of this was exactly what I needed today.

7/10
